About Bassett

Bassett Healthcare Network is a large, rural health system, which gives care to people in an area the size of Connecticut, with a central campus in Cooperstown, New York.  It is approximately 200 miles and about a three and a half hour drive from New York City.

Teaching faculty includes 286 salaried physicians, 208 advanced care practitioners, and 50 residents. 

Patients in our environment tend to come back for follow-ups, and to appreciate and trust their doctors. Students will make deep, memorable connections with their patients.

Bassett averages 800,000 patient visits each year compared to 700,000 patient visits at New York City's Presbyterian Hospital.
