Cooperstown is located in central New York State, 70 miles shouthwest of Albany, between routes I-88 and I-90. The hospital is located at 1 Atwell Road, Cooperstown, NY 13326.


Please note: Directions provided by GPS devices or mobile phones may take you on a route that is technically shorter distance, but these roads are often smaller and may not be as reliable in the winter. For the best and easiest routes, please see below.

From Albany: Take I-88 W and use either Exit 25A (Route 20W) and follow until a left on Route 80S; or take Exit 17 (Route 28N) at Oneonta.

From NYC (Washington Heights): Take I-95 S across the George Washington Bridge, merge onto the Palisades Parkway N, and follow until I-87 N (NYS Thruway). Take this as far as Albany and follow signs toward I-88 W. Follow directions from Albany as above. See

For a scenic drive, try I-87 Exit 21 (Catskill) and follow Routes 23W to 145N, to 10N, to 165W, to 166S to Co Rd 52.
